Emily Irene VanCamp was originally looking to become a dancer, but following a trip to her sister Katie's set for the show Ladies Room, she became more attracted to acting. After she began to take acting courses, Emily Irene VanCamp also secured guest appearances on television series in Canada. She's appeared on a variety of shows, including Are You Afraid Of The Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp made a breakthrough in his career after being cast on Glory Days, the WB mystery horror show. The show was cancelled after nine episodes despite receiving good ratings. The 12th of May, 1986 actress quickly secured another part in Everwood. The character she plays Amy Abbott is one of the main characters. The actress was nominated to win the award for four Teen Choice Awards and a Young Artist Award.
