Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on the 5th of August to begin its third season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both moderator as well as host. However, her true passion came the time she brought writer into her roles and earned an Emmy for it. In addition, she won the Emmy for hosting and outstanding television talkshow. From 2002 to 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. Before that, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor, and also the news anchor on The Early Show. The anchor was escorted to Cairo following the 9/11 attacks and gave an intense and thrilling conversation with the father of 9/11's main hijacker. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. Also, she spoke to the former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani as well as Queen Rania. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter, who has interviewed stars like Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was an editor at WDTN TV Dayton located in Dayton, Ohio (1995-1997). She worked as a producer for ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the affiliate news service of the network as well as a desk assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) during her senior year at University of Southern California. This was her first broadcasting job as a desk assistant for ABC News' late-night show Nightline With Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is one of the journalists she admires. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel in the production of the award-winning Columbia du-Pont documentary Anatomy of a Riot which was a look at the Los Angeles riots of '92.
